New Music: Weekly Releases for January 12, 2024
NEW MUSIC ALERT
No matter what part of the world you're in, surely you've seen the influx of videos and news coverage on the snowfall and inclement weather that hit the Midwest, South, and parts of the East Coast. From flooding in Maine to icy roads, Mother Nature is reminding us that winter is still in full effect. Though the wind chill is cold enough to send chills down one's spine, it's the fire music releases this week that keep us warm.

While last week was focused on Latin music, this week is for the hip-hop heads.
Kicking off the week, That Mexican OT released his first single of the year, '02.02.99.'
In a powerhouse collaboration, 21 Savage joined forces with Travis Scott and Metro Boomin on the newest banger, "nee-nah." The track is a perfect blend of each artist's signature style on a sick beat.
Travis Scott didn't stop at one collaboration this week. He also teamed up with Kid Cudi on "GET OFF ME."
Reggaeton rising artist, Young Miko, secured her coveted Bzrp Music Session with the renowned producer Bizarrap. Naturally, the duo knocked it out of the park with this one. "Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 58" captivates Miko's talent and Bizarrap's production prowess.
Like many of the Puerto Rican icon’s predecessors, this session marks a significant milestone for Young Miko as she continues to make waves in the reggaeton scene.
Another music icon worth a mention is none other than Ms. Kali Uchis. The Colombian beauty not only shared with the masses the news of her pregnancy with partner DON TOLIVER but also dropped her latest album, "ORQUÍDEAS." The project features 14 tracks with collaborations including Peso Pluma, KAROL G, Rauw Alejandro, and El Alfa. Standout tracks like "Labios Mordidos," "Muñekita," "Te Mata," “Heladito,” and "Diosa" are just a few of my favorite selections off the LP.
Uchis' ability to seamlessly blend various influences into a cohesive and captivating musical experience will never cease to amaze me.
