New Music: Weekly Releases for February 19, 2023

Good days are coming and I can feel it! The Sun seems to be peaking out more lately and the chilly temperatures less frequent. That is so okay with me!
Surely the folks here in Nashville,TN couldn’t be happier about the warmer days to come. In the meantime, we have the steady heat coming from this week’s #NewMusic releases and then some..
Memphis, TN Rapper, Latto, has teamed up with singer-songwriter LU KALA on ‘Lottery.’ The track showcases Latto's signature confidence, with lyrics like "I'm the richest b*tch out my city," but also touches on deeper themes of overcoming adversity and believing in oneself. LU KALA's soulful vocals add a melodic touch to the chorus, making "Lottery" a catchy and empowering anthem.
Another fellow Hip-hop name making noise this week hails from my city! Chicago rapper, Polo G, joined forces with Future on ‘No Time Wasted,’ a trap-influenced banger with a dark and moody vibe. The song features Polo G's gritty verses about coming up from poverty and making it big. Per usual, Future providing an undeniably catchy hook that keeps listeners hype.
I’m no psychic but considering the recent press interviews lately.. is it safe to assume we can expect a new album from the young artist? This new single sure sets the tone for whatever Polo G has cooking up.
P!nk has enlisted the hand of Country music star Chris Stapleton on a new joint. The renowned names dropped their new collaboration, ‘Just Say I'm Sorry,’ a heartfelt ballad about love and forgiveness. The song features P!nk's powerful vocals and Stapleton's soulful twang, with lyrics that speak to the complexities of relationships and the power of admitting one's mistakes.
While ‘Just Say I'm Sorry’ strays away from P!nk's usual pop-rock sound, it also goes to show her ability to deliver an emotional punch and versatility as an artist.
Regional Mexican music band, Fuerza Regida, released their new single featuring Becky G titled, ‘Te Quiero Besar.’ The song features accordion and guitar melodies that blend seamlessly with the band's smooth vocals, creating a nostalgic and romantic vibe that will appeal to fans of regional Mexican music.
Another notable debut in the Latin music space comes from Rauw Alejandro with fellow rising star, Angel Dior. The duo gets straight to it with facts on ‘TAMO EN NOTA.’ As catchy as the instrumentals and verses are on this track, it’s the quality of the overall piece that is sure to make this a playlist must-have for the upcoming Spring dance sessions.
